Minimal Quantity Lubrication "MQL" may be in many cases a good alternative for cutting and non-cutting metal forming. Thanks to the excellent quality of our oil-free, environmentally-friendly processing fluid ISOmist® and the sprayers and nozzles co-developed by us, processes and applications with actual minimal quantity lubrication have been successfully implemented which were previously considered unsuitable for such systems. The devices are easy to install and simple to use. Most of the machines offered on the market can be retrofitted. The atomization (nebulization) of the fluid takes place right at the nozzle and can be precisely adjusted to the needs of the user. All devices, except for the SprayUnit MINI, can be expanded modularly at any time and the single pumps can be individually controlled if required. With our devices, we do not work according to the so-called "Venturi principle", but with an environmentally friendly, quantity-regulated and low-aerosol pump solution!

ISOmist® is not subject to labeling, free from mineral and vegetable oils and can be washed with water. No problematic mist or aerosols are formed when used correctly.

Typical applications are the use in milling, turning and drilling machines and all kinds of sawing machines. It can also be used in bending and forming machines, for steady rest lubrication in roll grinders and to lubricate and cool customized and specialized machines of all fields with varied materials. It is recommended where ever cleanliness, environmental protection and the protection of employees are of high importance.

MQL SprayUnit – MINI 0,5 Liter

Our starter model is the space-saving, cost-effective and efficient SprayUnit-MINI for minimal quantity lubrication (MQL) that has been specifically designed for use with our ISOmist®.

The fluid pump controls the exact amount of fluid required from 0 mm³ to 41 mm³. The dosage of fluid can exactly be reproduced. The unit is 100% pneumatically controlled. The fluid is first nebulized at the spray nozzle with compressed air and then brought to the process site. The SprayUnit-MINI brings lubrication to the point! Harmful aerosols and spray mist are thereby prevented.
 
The fluid and the compressed air quantity can be adjusted at different times depending on the process requirement. The SprayUnit-MINI is not expandable.

MQL SprayUnit – LC 1,2 / 2,2 Liter

One of our most popular spraying units is the space-saving, cost-effective and expandable SprayUnit-LC minimal quantity lubrication (MQL), specially designed for use with our ISOmist®, but also suitable for all lubricants up to a viscosity of 2000 cSt!

One, two or four fluid pumps control the exact amount of fluid required from 0 mm³ to 41 mm³. The dosage of fluid can exactly be reproduced. The unit is 100% pneumatically controlled. The fluid is first nebulized at the spray nozzle with compressed air and then brought to the process site. Harmful aerosols and spray mist are thereby prevented.
Both, the quantity of fluid and compressed air can be adjusted separately at any time, depending on the process requirement and operational conditions. In contrast to the SprayUnit-ECO, the pump modules are not protected by a housing, but are always freely accessible.

MQL SprayUnit-ECO 1,2 / 2,2 Liter

The professional SprayUnits-ECO for all types of minimal quantity lubrication (MQL), in a stable, lockable metal housing is dust and splash-proof. It was specially designed for use with our ISOmist®, but also suitable for all lubricants up to a viscosity of 2000 cSt!

From two to ten fluid pumps, if required even more, control the exact amount of fluid required from 0 mm³ to 41 mm³. The dosage of fluid can exactly be reproduced. The unit is 100% pneumatically controlled. The fluid is first nebulized at the spray nozzle with compressed air and then brought to the process site. Harmful aerosols and spray mist are thereby prevented.
Both, the quantity of fluid and compressed air can be adjusted separately at any time, depending on the process requirement and operational conditions. In contrast to the SprayUnit-LC, the pump modules are protected by a housing.

MQL SprayUnit – ECO – special edition 2,2 liter

The special edition SprayUnit-ECO, for demanding applications, has separately controlled fluid pumps (for example 2x2, 3x1, 3x2 or 4x2 fluid pumps). It allows separately controllable machining operations or sequentially controlled processes without having to purchase and install several devices. A space-saving solution in the lockable metal housing.
The START / STOP command for the individual fluid pumps comes from the machine or application to which the corresponding spray nozzle has been assigned. Each spray nozzle provides the controlled amount of fluid required by the application as well as the desired spraying pattern preselected by the respective operator.
Each SprayUnit-ECO, regulates separately, the exact amount of required fluid.

MQL Sprühdüse

Variable spraying elements or nozzles for general metalworking for dispensing and nebulizing the dosed quantity of fluid to the process point. The spraying elements (long) consist of variable, semi-rigid or rigid extensions (300 mm total length) which carry at the end the actual spraying device/nozzle and can be fastened by magnetic bases or screws. This way it is possible to reach difficult to access spraying points easily and the nozzles can be adjusted to the respective requirements.
The spraying element "Short Length" is a space-saving universal alternative, which has an extremely short structural length (57 mm) and consists only of the actual spray nozzle and the push-in-fitting.
All spray nozzles are connected via push-in-fittings (6mm) to the fluid supply of the SprayUnits.

Nozzle for horizontal band saw

Spray device for feeding and nebulizing the dosed fluid quantity to the blade of horizontal band saws. The MQL spraying elements have two push-in-fitting inlets(6mm) and five spray outlets at the nozzle for optimum wetting of the saw blade. (Except the smallest nozzle, which has one inlet and three outlets and is only suitable for a maximum blade height of 34 mm!). Thus, if necessary, the lubricant can be brought to the saw blade via two fluid pumps. If two spraying points should be installed, one of the inlets can be closed with a 6mm plug and two spraying elements with two fluid pumps can be controlled.

The spraying elements are pre-assembled and tested at the factory and contain all necessary parts which are required for the correct function. The corresponding fastening material (such as screws, etc.) must be supplied by the customer.


Nozzle for vertical band saw

For feeding and nebulizing the dosed fluid quantity to the blade of vertical band saws. The MQL spray elements have two push-in-fitting inlets (6mm) and 5 spray outlets at the nozzle, for optimum wetting of the saw blade. (Except the smallest nozzle, which has one inlet and three outlets and is only suitable for a maximum blade height of 34 mm!). Thus, if necessary, the lubricant can be brought to the saw blade via two fluid pumps. Spray nozzle for circular saw

For feeding and nebulizing the precisely dosed fluid quantity to the circular saw. The spraying elements have one or two inlets and five spray outlets for the fluid supply to the circular saw blade.

The spraying elements are pre-assembled and tested at the factory and contain all necessary parts which are required for the correct function. The corresponding fastening material (such as screws, etc.) must be supplied by the customer.

Special nozzle for vertical band saw

The special spraying device for the vertical band saw for feeding and nebulizing the precisely dosed fluid quantity to the saw blade has one inlet and two spray outlets for the fluid to be supplied.
Here you will get a special application from practice. Simple and uncomplicated, with low investment costs and high efficiency.

The spraying elements are pre-assembled and tested at the factory and contain all necessary parts which are required for the correct function. The corresponding fastening material (such as screws, etc.) must be supplied by the customer.

MQL Replacement fluid pump – pre-assembled

MQL replacement fluid pump, completely pre-assembled as a spare part, for rapid replacement if a fluid pump fails. The replacement fluid pump is completely assembled and tested for functionality and can be easily replaced by loosening two fastening screws (M4x25 / Imbus).

MQL Replacement base for fluid pump

Replacement base for the MQL fluid pump, as a spare part, with a 5m long, coaxial supply line for the spraying element.

For quick exchange, if the base (distributor) of the fluid pump breaks down. The replacement base is completely pre-assembled and tested for functionality and equipped with a complete coaxial connection cable. Practice has shown that it is useful to change the complete unit and the connecting cable in case of damage.

MQL InstallationsKit – Mech/Power/Air

The InstallationKit contains all necessary components for the MQL-SprayUnits to be installed quickly and easily, consisting of:
  • Pre-assembled START / STOP signal cable 4m (with valve connector)
  • Pneumatic hose with 4 m length and 6 mm diameter
  • Three selected tees for inserting the compressed air supply into an existing compressed air line
  • Fastening screws for attaching the SprayUnit, to the machine (M5x25)

Compressed air conditioner with pressure gauge

The functional reliability and service life of the pneumatic components depends on the quality of the compressed air. Impurities have a negative impact on the surface and seals of the components. They can cause irregular pressure fluctuations during the work process. To prevent this, maintenance equipment, such as filters and pressure regulators, should be installed for the treatment of compressed air.

Included:

  • A high-quality maintenance unit consisting of compressed air regulator and air filter
  • Pressure gauge for displaying the set air pressure
  • Two quick connectors for a 1/4 ", 6mm compressed air hose

START/STOP manual switch

Manual START/STOP switch for MQL SprayUnits.

MQL SprayUnits usually offer the possibility of connecting to a CNC control (START / STOP signal via M function) to automatic switch the fluid pumps on and off. If this option is not available, for example because it is too complex or because a CNC control is not available, the device can be operated manually by means of this pneumatic manual switch.

  • Complete, preassembled pneumatic hand switch
  • Two angled quick connectors for a compressed air hose with 6mm outer diameter

The handset unit is delivered complete and ready for installation (without fastening material).

Solenoid valve coil incl. connector

The solenoid valve coil for the electric solenoid valve of the START / STOP functionality of a MQL SprayUnit is designed for an operating voltage of 220V / 50Hz, or 24V alternating or direct current. The scope of delivery also includes the required connector (2P + SL) for the electrical connection.

When making the electrical connection, the appropriate environmental requirements as well as the relevant VDE regulations and guidelines must be observed.

Pneumatikschlauch

A 10 m long pneumatic hose made of polyurethane for the installation of our MQL SprayUnits. This ensures a perfect function even with tight installation conditions without kinking. The hose is externally calibrated to 6 mm +/- 0.1 mm.

Extension for fluid feeder

Extension kit for extending the standard fluid supply to the spray nozzle, fully-equipped with air and fluid inner hose including all connections for the basic fluid pump. The Basic SprayUnit is equipped with basic fluid feeders with a length of 5 m.

The reinforced tube material is made of a special plastic material and has an additional outer wire braid with pressed connections for mechanical protection against sharp chip material.
